they have no backup machine (ok, a 2 track but that's not a great solution). using the machine is hard, man there was some baaaad user experience design in the 90ies. Scsi hard drives are not so easy to find these days

Granted, a set is shorter than that but they like to bring more songs from their repertoire so they can play differents sets at different shows. the hard disk allows only 100 minutes of 8 track playback. it's an old piece of hardware that might break in the near future the multitrack recorder is HUGE and very heavy
